I was really worried about how my body would take dairy after not having it for almost 6 weeks. But not only am I not reacting, but my stomach and intestines are totally calm. Woohoo for Northern European ancestry!
Today I added back in milk. I thought about waiting for tomorrow, but I figured that adding it in this evening, rather than 12 hours before adding in my next food, would give me a better picture of how I react to it. Our local grocery store has this awesome, grass-fed, local, non-homogenized milk. They were out of skim and I don’t like fatty milk, but it was still amazing.
Also, my goodness cheese is delicious.
So you may have noticed I haven’t done detox or exercise much lately. Yeah, that’s just me being lazy. I have no plans to stop being lazy (plus some life things, like hot, not tea-friendly weather, just get in the way), So I’m just going to put those things in this section when applicable. Today I worked my butt off at my job. Like actually sweating and breathing heavily at times. Then I went to karate in the evening.
Remember how I said no intestinal discomfort? Well, I lied. My intestines bothered me a bit in the evening. I’m going to claim that is the 1/4 container of peanut butter I ate over the dairy.
Skin is looking great today. I am very happy with how it is healing. Finally.
Breakfast: Dannon All Natural Yogurt with maple syrup and peanut butter, Jones Dairy Farm Pork and Rice Sausages (these sausages are my absolute favorite, taste wise, AND they only have 5 ingredients and no nightshade-derived spices)
Lunch: Pesto with spaghetti squash, an apple – While my dairy-free pesto was delicious, Will’s family’s famous pesto with cheese is just so wonderful
Dinner: Leftover mashed cauliflower and peas, spinach, cheese, a small glass of milk
Snacks: Carrot, banana, peanut butter
