Today I added in bananas, one of my favorite fruits. I ate two today to get my exposure in, but I won’t keep that up. I find it kinda impractical to eat one fruit that much, plus we just don’t have that many bananas. They were tasty, though!
We went to an art festival today and walked around in the awful sun and heat – it got to 90. I was in motorcycle gear and it was the first serious heat of the summer and we didn’t bring water and I DO NOT tolerate heat well at all. So I kinda felt awful for a big part of the day.
The evening was good, though. Will and I went to a Creighton class, which was really interesting. I had already been tracking my fertility symptoms a bit since I went off the pill, but it was nice to finally go to an official class. I’m really looking forward to getting personal instruction and have someone to talk to about my cycle.
Detox and Exercise
Walked around the festival
My energy was totally sapped by the heat and my stomach didn’t feel great after the large amounts of coconut milk ice cream I had. I had a headache in the evening as well.
Despite all of that, my skin looked pretty good today.
Breakfast: Quinoa with Blueberry Syrup, spinach, and a banana
Lunch: Moroccan Quinoa Pilaf wrapped in lettuce, carrots on the side
Dinner: Aduki Bean Shepherd’s Pie with spinach, fermented vegetables and brine
Snacks: Ice cream, a chilled banana, crackers
I made a Lentil and Rice Casserole today (Nourishing Meals, page 297). I was going to eat it, but it wasn’t done in time for dinner. I tasted it, though, and it was super yummy and I’m glad to have it prepared, along with the rest of my meals, to eat in the near future.
